Opioid abuse and addiction has been a very hot topic over the past two years, not only around the nation, but in Washington D.C. as well. There has been a flurry of political activity surrounding opioid abuse, most of it well-intentioned. Progress has been made as well, but not nearly at a pace fast enough to keep up with the problem.
