David McCandlish received his M.LS from the University of Maryland.  He has been working as the librarian for the Center for Substance Abuse Research (CESAR) since 2001.  For NDEWS, Mr. McCandlish conducts ongoing media scans and provides literature searches, reviews, document retrieval, and some IT support as necessary.
