The NDEWS Coordinating Center thought you should know that the DEA has now withdrawn its plan to temporarily make Kratom (mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine) a Schedule I drug. Instead, according to an announcement published in the Federal Register today, the DEA is soliciting comments from the public to offer people the opportunity to share their experiences and opinions about Kratom. The public comment period is open until December 1, 2016.  All comments must be submitted electronically or in writing according to the procedures provided in the Federal Register.
