On August 19th, the Detroit Metro Times released an article covering the opioid problem in Michigan. In 2014, Michigan lost more people to drug related overdoses than car accidents. Governor Rick Snyder called in the Michigan Prescription Drug and Opioid Abuse Task Force which suggested that they upgrade MAPS (pescription opiod tracker) and making naloxone more readily available.
