The NDEWS Coordinating Center is sad to learn our esteemed friend and colleague, Dr. M. Douglas (Doug) Anglin, recently passed away. He was instrumental in establishing the UCLA Drug Abuse Research Center together with Dr. William McGlothlin. A distinguished NIDA scientist, Dr. Anglin did foundational work in addiction research.
Dr. Anglin conducted research on substance abuse epidemiology, etiology, treatment evaluation, and social policy since 1972. He was been Principal Investigator on more than 25 federally funded research studies and on numerous state- and foundation-supported projects. He has been the author or co-author of more than 260 published articles.
