According to a Florida Fox 13  article, Tampa recently saw a spike in spice overdoses. The Tampa Fire Rescue first responders received more than 30 calls for suspected or admitted use of synthetic marijuana during the course of a week, with a maximum of 12 calls in a single day. In effort to increase awareness of the issue, doctors and law enforcement held a news conference to answer questions on March 11th, 2016.
